今年のテーマは「アンダー・ワン・ルーフ」です。
直訳すれば「ひとつ屋根の下」となりますが、今回は、その日本語が醸し出すホームドラマ的なイメージではなく、より建築的な提案への広がりを期待して、あえて「アンダー・ワン・ルーフ」としました。
「アンダー・ワン・ルーフ」という言葉から導かれる建築の可能性、あるいは「アンダー」「ワン」「ルーフ」それぞれの単語のもつ建築への展開力を掘り下げて、提案に結びつけて下さい。

かつて日本は、屋根をルーフと読み替えることで、伝統建築から近代建築へと飛躍することができました。言葉に付随する慣習的なイメージがひとつ外れるだけでも、そこから建築そのものを考えるフィールドは広がるのです。
たとえば、ルーフはワン・ルーフ、つまり「ひとつ」と定めていますが、そのかたち、大きさ、高さ、素材や性能については自由に考えられますし、ひとつのルーフとはどういう状態までが「ひとつ」なのかについても自由に考えることができます。
また、アンダー・ルーフといっても、ルーフの下の空間の、広さ狭さ、高さ低さ、明るさ暗さ、寒さ暖かさ、あるいは床・壁・天井などについては自由に考えることができます。
そして、その「アンダー・ワン・ルーフ」はなんのためにつくられるのか、どのような出来事が行われる場所なのか、そこはどのような環境なのか、あるいはそれはどのような環境に建つのか、についても、自由に考えることができます。
みなさんの「アンダー・ワン・ルーフ」の提案を広くお待ちしています。

■提出図面
配置図・平面図・立面図・断面図、透視図・模型写真など、設計意図を表現する図面（説明はできるだけ図面のみですること。各図面の縮尺は自由）。表現方法は、青焼、鉛筆、インキング、着色、写真貼付、プリントアウトなど自由。

■用　紙
A2サイズ（420mm×594mm）の用紙（中判ケント紙あるいはそれに類する厚紙）１枚におさめること。模造紙等の薄い用紙は開封時に痛む恐れがあるので避けること。ただし、パネル化・額装は不可。

■登録番号の記載
応募図面の表面右下に、30ポイント以上の文字の大きさで登録番号のみを明記すること（登録番号以外の応募者を特定できる情報は記載しないこと）。また、裏面には必要事項を記入した登録票を必ず貼付けること。

■質　疑
課題に対する質疑応答はいたしません。
規定外の問題は応募者が自由に決定すること。

■提出方法
応募作品裏面に必要事項を記入した登録票を貼付けた上、下記へ送付してください。
（※持込み、バイク便は不可。なお、開封時に痛みやすいため、円筒状の梱包はご遠慮ください）

■その他

• 応募作品は未発表の作品に限ります。
• 本設計競技の応募作品の著作権は応募者に帰属しますが、入賞作品の発表に関する権利は主催者が保有します。
• 応募作品は返却いたしません。
• 同一作品の他設計競技との二重応募は失格となります。
• 応募作品の一部あるいは全部が、他者の著作権を侵害するものであってはなりません。また、雑誌や書籍、Webページ等の著作物から複写した画像を使用しないこと。著作権侵害の恐れがある場合は、主催者の判断により入賞を取り消すことがあります。
• 入賞後に著作権侵害やその他の疑義が発覚した場合は、すべて応募者の責任となります。
• 入賞後の応募者による登録内容の変更は受け付けません。

“Under One Roof”

This year’s theme is “Under One Roof”.
In Japan, “Under One Roof” has image of daily family life under the house roof.
However, we are expecting the splendid proposal for infinite architectural possibility developed from “Under One Roof”.

We are expecting the attractive proposal for the big possibility of construction derived from the phrase of “Under One Roof”, or respective word of “Under”, “One” and “Roof”
with architectural consideration.

In the past in Japan, the construction industry had greatly changed from traditional style to modern system just by calling the roof from typical Japanese word “YANE” to English name “ROOF” as Japanese.
You can understand that possibility of the total construction can be changed just by changing the word of one component name through alteration of accompanying concept of the word.

Though “ Roof” is defined as “One Roof”, you can freely consider about the shape, size,
height, material, performance etc. of the roof. You can also consider the definition of “One” of “One Roof” by yourself.

As to “Under Roof”, you can freely make the image of the space under roof, namely about the size of area, height, light, temperature of the space together with system of
the floor, wall and ceiling etc.

You can also make various proposal for the purpose of “Under One Roof”, what events to be held there, under what environment “Under One Roof” to be made or what environment “Under One Roof” going to provide etc.

Your wonderful proposal for “Under One Roof” are earnestly expected and welcome.

■Drawings:
Drawing should represent the concept of the theme just by the drawing as much as possible with less explanation word. (at any scale)
Drawing should be block plan, floor plan, elevation view, cross-section view, perspective view, model photo etc.
You may use blue print, pencil, ink, color, photo, print etc at your discretion.

■Materials:
Complete all drawings, photo. etc on one sheet of thick drawing paper(like Kent paper) of A2-Size(420mm x 594mm).
Thin paper such as imitation vellum-paper should not be used as easy to break when opening the envelop.
Paneled or framed one will not be accepted.

■Inquiries:
The sponsors will not answer questions about the theme.
All matters not covered in these regulations are left to the discretion of the entrants.

■Submission:
On the back side of entry, attach the application form with filling up the necessary matters and send by mail to the under-mentioned address.
(Application by hand-carry, or by courier will not be accepted. Not use cylinder-type package as easy to break when opening)

■Additional Information:

• Entries must not have been previously published in any form.
• Copyrights on the entries will remain to the property of the entrants, but the sponsors of the competition will reserve the right to publish the winning entries in magazines and other media.
• Competition entries will not be returned.
• Entries should not be submitted simultaneously to any other competition. Entries submitted to the other competition will be disqualified.
• Competition entries must not infringe the copyright of any other work either in whole or in part. Do not use images from magazines, books or websites.
• If suspicion of infringement is found, the winning prize may be revoked by the sponsors.
• If copyright infringement or other problem is found after announcement of winning prizes, all the relevant responsibilities must be assumed by the entrants.
• Change of application contents by the entrant after winning announcement will not be accepted.
• All the cost for application for the competition (such as delivery, tax, insurance etc.)should be borne by the entrant.
• Travel expenses for attending the award ceremony should be borne by the entrant.
